Haunted Tours at the Museum 2025

About Haunted Tours

Haunted Tours returns to the Museum of Seminole County History for another scarifying year in an event brought to you by the Seminole County Historical Society!

What's new with Haunted Tours at the Museum 2025?

Our biggest news this year is that we've expanded from three nights to four spine tingling nights in 2025. This year we will be offering the tours on Thursday, Friday, Saturday, and Sunday on October 16th, 17th, 18th, and 19th!

We've already begun to collect new stories about how the spirits have been active at the museum compound this year. We have a new temporary exhibit on the history of colonial FL that has been creating lots of strange noises and strange voices in the Temporary Exhibit Gallery. Could the new activity be tied to the new 1765 map of Seminole County during the years of the American Revolution that was drawn by a long dead British surveyor from Germany? Or could it be the artifacts that have been loaned to the museum that date from the 1500s and 1600s? On our tour, you'll find out about lots of unexplained activity potentially tied to these new artifacts and more!

For those who have never visited the museum for haunted tours, there's a spectacularly scary experience waiting you.

Capacity is limited to 15 persons per tour this year. One-hour walking tours of the museum's campus begin on the hour at 6pm, 7pm, 8pm, and 9pm. The majority of the tour is held inside (and in the A/C) so the event happens rain or shine.

Bring your own ghost hunting equipment, or use ours to conduct your paranormal investigation as we track the ghosts through our halls and relay the strange phenomena which have taken place within our walls! Your ghostly guide, dressed in appropriate costumed garb, will share with you spine tingling stories of the unexplained things that have happened at the museum in both the distant and recent past.

On the tour, you might possibly encounter a spirit of an indigenous person who goes by the name of 'Tio Juan'. He is seemingly tied to the remnants of the 3500-year bald cypress tree known as the Senator that was burned down by an arson in 2012 who guards what is left of the tree.

One of the museum's buildings was built on top of what was once an early 20th century cholera ward where many victims of a fever outbreak died and seems to have remained home to the people who died there.

Does a poltergeist named Nick who is known to dislike ladies inhibit the museum's basement? Prior to 2022, we thought that Nick was gone. He'd been silent and inactive for many years. All that changed in 2022 when he came back with a vengeance!

The ghost of a young girl, Mary, who is particularly tied to her hair brush is still active in our Victorian Parlor.

All tickets must be purchased online (e-tickets). All ticket sales are FINAL. There are no REFUNDS for any reason. Reselling of tickets is not allowed and will void the ticket. Anyone who attempts to offer someone a resale ticket is a scammer. Don't let them steal your money!
